Woodroffe Avenue Public School is an elementary French Immersion Centre located opposite the Carlingwood Public Library in a quiet, well-established neighbourhood. We foster excellence in a safe and caring environment. We are proud of our emphasis on French language acquisition and encourage students to speak in French whenever possible.

Our school mascot is the Humpback Whale which symbolizes our commitment to environmental issues. In 1991 we adopted Salt and her son Crystal, the Humpback Whales. We use our resources carefully, recycling paper wherever possible and practising sound environmental choices.

Learn more about the Humpback Whale, EQAO results and our Athletic Program in the student section.

For more information about Woodroffe Avenue Public School, please consult our
school profile.

You are moving to Ottawa? Why not find out where you should send your children with the School Locator.

Please have a look at our "Anaphylaxis Guidelines
".

We also strive to be a scent free school so please refrain from using products such as perfumes, hairspray and aftershaves.

In order to make the Woodroffe site more usable, many of the documents are available in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format and/or as a Microsoft Word document. The Acrobat reader is an easy to install and common plug-in widely used on the internet. If you need to get the Acrobat reader just click on the icon below and follow the instructions provided.
